For the Chicken Alfredo

  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup heavy cream Can be substituted with half-and-half for a lighter version.
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese Add at the end for creaminess.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 12 ounces fettuccine pasta Cook separately for best texture.

Preparation

  • Gather and prepare all your ingredients and cut the chicken breasts into manageable pieces.

Cooking

  • Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the heavy cream, chicken broth, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and salt and pepper.
  • Pour the cream mixture over the chicken and cover the slow cooker with its lid.
  • Set the slow cooker to low and cook for approximately 6 hours.
  • After cooking, remove the chicken and shred it using two forks.
  • Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese with the shredded chicken.
  • Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente.
  • Drain the pasta and add it to the slow cooker with the chicken and sauce.
  • Gently mix to coat the pasta in the sauce.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

This recipe is adaptable and can include vegetables or different pasta types.
