  • cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder

For the Frosting

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 dash milk for smoother texture
  • Food coloring optional, for added vibrant color

Preparation

  • Gather all ingredients on the countertop and preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Making the Cookie Dough

  • In a large mixing bowl, blend the cake mix, vegetable oil, and eggs until smoothly combined.
  • Sprinkle in the flour and baking powder, and mix until combined to form a thick dough.

Baking

  • Scoop the dough into balls about 1 inch in diameter and place them on a lined baking sheet.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, then cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Frosting Preparation

  • Cream the softened butter until fluffy, then gradually add in powdered sugar and milk until smooth.
