  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup cooked bacon, chopped Use crispy bacon for extra flavor.
  • 2 jalapeños, finely chopped (seeds removed for less heat)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt to taste salt
  • Pepper to taste pepper

Coating

  • ½ cup breadcrumbs Regular or gluten-free breadcrumbs.
  • Oil for frying Use vegetable or canola oil.

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients in one place. Preheat your deep fryer or a large pan with oil over medium heat.
  • In a large bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, shredded mozzarella, cooked bacon, chopped jalapeños, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.

Forming and Coating

  • Use your hands to form the mixture into small balls—about 1 inch in diameter.
  • Roll each cheese ball in breadcrumbs until they are fully coated.

Frying

  • Carefully heat oil in your deep fryer or pan until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
  • Fry the cheese balls in batches for about 3-4 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy.

Serving

  • Remove the cheese balls from the oil using a slotted spoon and place them on a plate lined with paper towels.
  • Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces.

Notes

These cheese balls can be stored in the fridge for 3-4 days. For reheating, place them in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10-15 minutes. Can be baked at 375°F (190°C) for about 20 min for a healthier option.
