Preparation

  • Gather and prepare all your ingredients: mince the garlic and ginger, slice the green onions, and chop your chosen vegetables into bite-sized pieces.

Cooking the Noodles

  • In a large pot, bring water to a boil and cook the udon noodles according to the package instructions. Once cooked, drain and set aside.

Making the Sauce

  • In a large pan, heat the sesame oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and ginger, sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Stir in the gochujang, soy sauce, and sugar. Mix well and keep stirring for 1-2 minutes until everything is blended and heated through.

Combining and Cooking

  • Add the cooked udon noodles to the pan and toss gently to coat with the sauce, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Introduce your selected vegetables and continue to cook for an additional 2-3 minutes or until just tender.

Finishing Touches

  • Remove from heat, garnish with sliced green onions and sprinkle sesame seeds generously on top before serving.
