  • 1 teaspoon paprika

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients, ensuring the potatoes are washed thoroughly.
  • Preheat your oven to 385°F.
  • In a bowl, mix 4 cups of cold water with 2 tablespoons of lemon juice.
  • Carefully carve skull faces into each potato using a small paring knife and place them in the lemon water.

Cooking

  • In a separate bowl, combine olive oil, remaining lemon juice, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, and black pepper.
  • Drain the potatoes and toss them in the seasoning mixture until well-coated.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the seasoned potatoes face up.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes until golden brown and tender when pierced with a fork.

Serving

  • Once baked, let the potatoes cool slightly and garnish with parsley flakes before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3 to 5 days. To reheat, place in a preheated oven at 350°F for 10-15 minutes. Can freeze carved potatoes before baking.
