Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (15 oz) chili beans
  • 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • optional toppings shredded cheese, sour cream, green onions

Instructions
 

  • Prep your workspace and gather ingredients, skillet, and crockpot.
  • Heat skillet over medium and cook ground beef, onion, and garlic until beef is browned, 5–7 minutes.
  • Transfer beef mixture to crockpot.
  • Add diced tomatoes and chili beans with their juices.
  • Stir in tomato paste and beef broth.
  • Add chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
  • Cover crockpot and cook on low 6–8 hours or high 3–4 hours.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning 30 minutes before serving.
  • Serve hot with optional toppings like cheese, sour cream, or green onions.

Notes

For a leaner version, swap beef with turkey. Use vegetable broth and plant-based protein for a vegetarian alternative.
