  • 2 cups cooked rice White or brown rice can be used.
  • 1 cup queso cheese Any melting cheese can be substituted.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For cooking the steak.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Enhances flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder Adds depth to the dish.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Adjust according to preference.

Preparation

  • Gather all of your ingredients. Dice your steak into bite-sized pieces and have your cooked rice ready.
  • Measure out your spices ahead of time to ease the cooking process.

Cooking

  • Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the diced steak and season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Cook the steak until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Stir in the cooked rice to blend the flavors.
  • Add in the queso cheese and stir until it melts completely.
  • Allow the mixture to cook for a couple of minutes until everything is heated through.
  • Taste and adjust seasonings if needed. Add more salt, pepper, or hot sauce for heat.

Serving

  • Spoon the Steak Queso Rice onto plates and enjoy while it’s warm.

Notes
