Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • 8 oz elbow macaroni pasta
  • 0.25 lb lean ground beef
  • 2 teaspoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients and measure them out for efficiency.
  • Boil a pot of water, add a pinch of salt, and cook the elbow macaroni according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  • Add the lean ground beef, breaking it up as it cooks. Stir frequently until fully browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Add the frozen peas to the skillet and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  • Combine the cooked elbow macaroni, soy sauce, and oyster sauce in the skillet. Stir to coat the pasta evenly.
  • Continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through.
  • Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
  • Remove from heat and serve hot.

Notes

To enhance flavor, consider marinating the beef with soy sauce and minced garlic before cooking. Add sesame oil at the end for aroma, and garnish with herbs or sliced almonds for visual appeal.
