Quesadilla Assembly

  • 1 fajita-size tortilla flour tortilla Ensure it's fajita size for best results.
  • 1 teaspoon unsalted butter For cooking the tortilla.
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar To sprinkle on melted butter for caramelization.
  • a dash ground cinnamon For enhancing the flavor while cooking.
  • honey for drizzling (optional) Optional sweetness.

Preparation

  • Gather all necessary ingredients, ensuring the cream cheese is softened.
  • Slice the strawberries evenly and set them aside.

Make Cream Cheese Mixture

  • In a small bowl, combine cream cheese, 1 teaspoon of sugar, ground cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.

Spread Cream Cheese

  • Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over one side of the tortilla.

Cook Quesadilla

  • In a skillet over medium heat, melt 1 teaspoon of unsalted butter.
  • Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of sugar and a dash of cinnamon onto the melted butter.
  • Place the tortilla with the cream cheese side facing up onto the pan.
  • Cook for 2-3 minutes until the underside is golden brown.
  • Arrange sliced strawberries over the cream cheese filling.
  • Fold the tortilla in half and cook for another minute.

Serving

  • Transfer the quesadilla to a plate. Drizzle with honey if desired.
  • Slice into wedges and serve warm.

Notes
