Ingredients
  

  • 4 slices thick bread (brioche or challah)
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries sliced
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • butter for frying
  • maple syrup for serving

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, beat softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Fold in sliced strawberries into the cream cheese mixture.
  • Spread filling onto 2 slices of bread and top with the remaining slices to make sandwiches.
  • In another bowl, whisk eggs, milk, and cinnamon until light and frothy.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt butter until bubbling.
  • Dip sandwiches into the egg mixture, coating both sides evenly.
  • Cook each sandwich for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and crisp.
  • Serve warm with maple syrup, extra strawberries, whipped cream, or powdered sugar as toppings.

Notes

For a twist, substitute strawberries with blueberries or bananas. Use gluten-free or dairy-free swaps to adapt to dietary needs.
