  • 0.5 cup milk Can substitute with non-dairy milk.
  • 1 large egg Use flax egg for a vegan option.

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups peeled and diced apples Granny Smith or Honeycrisp work well.

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients and equipment.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and sugar.
  • In another bowl, whisk the milk and egg until combined.
  • Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
  • Fold in the diced apples gently.

Cooking

  • Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  • Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
  • Drop spoonfuls of batter into the basket, leaving space between each fritter.
  • Air fry the fritters for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown.

Serving

  • Remove from air fryer and let cool slightly before serving.
  • Serve warm, optionally with glaze, powdered sugar, or syrup.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the fridge, or freeze for up to 2 months. To reheat, place fritters in the air fryer for about 5 minutes at 350°F.
