  • ½ cup sour cream Adds tang and creaminess.
  • 2 tsp dried parsley Offers color and a fresh taste.
  • 1 bag (12 oz) wide egg noodles Perfect for soaking up the sauce.

Preparation

  • Start by gathering all your ingredients. Chop the onion finely and measure out the other ingredients.
  • In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes until the meat is no longer pink.
  • Once the meat is browned, stir in the chopped onion and sauté for another 3-5 minutes until the onion becomes translucent.
  • Add in the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper, mixing well to ensure every piece of meat is coated.
  • Sprinkle the brown gravy mix over the cooked beef and onion. Slowly pour in 1 cup of cold water while stirring to prevent lumps.
  • Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for about 2-3 minutes until thickened.
  • Stir in the cream of mushroom soup until thoroughly combined.
  • Reduce the heat to low and stir in the sour cream and dried parsley, allowing it to heat through without boiling.
  • Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions for about 8-10 minutes.
  • Drain the egg noodles and add them to the skillet with the beef stroganoff. Gently toss until all noodles are coated in the creamy sauce.
  • Taste the stroganoff and adjust the seasoning if necessary.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. Freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight in fridge before reheating.
