Ingredients
  

Chicken and Marinade

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts Thawed if previously frozen
  • ½ cup tequila Of your choice
  • ¼ cup fresh lime juice Approximately from 2-3 limes
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Can be replaced with garlic powder if sensitive
  • ¼ cup olive oil For the marinade
  • 1 teaspoon cumin For flavor
  • 1 teaspoon paprika For color and depth
  • ¼ cup fresh herbs (like cilantro or parsley), chopped Optional, for added flavor
  • Salt and pepper to taste For seasoning

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients, ensuring chicken is thawed.
  • Juice the limes until you have a quarter cup and mince the garlic cloves.

Prepare the Marinade

  • In a medium bowl, mix tequila, lime juice, garlic, olive oil, cumin, paprika, and herbs.
  • Add salt and pepper to taste, whisking well to combine.

Marinate the Chicken

  • Place chicken in a resealable bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over it.
  • Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least one hour or overnight.

Grilling the Chicken

  • Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  • Remove chicken from marinade and let it sit at room temperature.
  • Grill chicken for 6-8 minutes on each side or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  • Remove from grill and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Serving

  • Garnish with lime wedges and fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

To store leftovers, refrigerate in an airtight container for 3-4 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Avoid over-marinating and under-seasoning.
