Ingredients

For the Chicken Filling

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded Can use rotisserie chicken for convenience.
  • ½ cup teriyaki sauce Adjust for taste.

For the Wrap

  • 4 large tortillas Use gluten-free tortillas for a gluten-free option.
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce Feel free to use your favorite greens.
  • ½ cup grated carrots Adds crunch and sweetness.
  • ½ cup sliced cucumbers Can substitute with bell peppers.
  • ¼ cup chopped green onions For a fresh flavor.
  • to taste sesame seeds for garnish Optional, for added texture.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Start by gathering all your ingredients. Make sure your chicken is fully cooked and shredded. Chop the green onions and slice the cucumbers, so everything is ready to throw into the wraps.
  • In a bowl, combine the shredded chicken with the teriyaki sauce, ensuring every shred is coated. Let it marinate for about 5 minutes for enhanced flavor.

Assembly

  • Take your large tortillas and lay them out flat on a clean surface. This is your base, so make sure there’s enough room for spreading the filling.
  • Evenly distribute the teriyaki chicken mixture onto each of the tortillas. Be generous, but leave some space at the edges for rolling.
  • On top of the chicken, add layers of shredded lettuce, grated carrots, sliced cucumbers, and chopped green onions. These fresh ingredients provide necessary crunch.
  • Now, it’s time to roll them up! Begin at one end and carefully fold over the filling, then roll tightly until your wrap is closed. Make sure everything is packed in well.
  • Using a sharp knife, slice each wrap in half at a diagonal. Garnish with sesame seeds for an extra touch of flavor.
  • Arrange your wraps on a platter and serve right away. They’re best enjoyed fresh, but you can also prepare them a bit ahead of time.

Notes

Store wraps in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. For longer storage, wrap them tightly in plastic wrap and freeze. Reheat using a microwave or skillet for best results.
