Equipment

  • Large Skillet
  • Mixing Bowl

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts boneless, skinless
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp garlic powder or 2–3 fresh cloves minced
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp salt or to taste
  • ½ tsp black pepper freshly ground
  • ¼ cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  • Pat chicken dry and season with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
  • In a bowl, combine butter, honey, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix into a smooth sauce.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  • Add chicken breasts and cook 5–6 minutes per side, until golden and internal temp reaches 165°F (74°C). Remove from skillet.
  • Deglaze pan with chicken broth, scraping browned bits for flavor.
  • Stir in butter sauce mixture until melted and combined. Simmer 1 minute.
  • Return chicken to skillet, spoon sauce over, and simmer 2–3 minutes to coat.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot with sides like rice, mashed potatoes, or vegetables.

Notes

For extra flavor, add fresh thyme or rosemary, or toss in vegetables like mushrooms and bell peppers. Swap honey with maple syrup for a different sweetness. Great with garlic bread or mashed potatoes.
