Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 package active dry yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons) Ensure yeast is fresh for the best results.
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup warm milk (110°F) Make sure milk is not too hot to avoid killing the yeast.
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients on the counter to ensure a smooth baking process.
  • In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and active dry yeast. Mix gently and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes, or until foamy.
  • In another bowl, mix flour and salt together to ensure even distribution.
  • Once the yeast is foamy, add melted butter and eggs into the mixture. Stir gently until combined.
  • Gradually add the flour mixture into the wet ingredients and mix until a soft dough forms.
  • Turn dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Place dough in a greased bowl, cover with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm spot until doubled in size, about 1 hour.

Shaping and Baking

  • Once risen, punch down the dough gently, divide it into equal portions, and shape each into a bun.
  • Place the shaped buns on a lined baking sheet and cover with a towel. Let them rise again for about 30 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the risen buns for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.

Notes

Store baked buns in an airtight container at room temperature for 2-3 days or freeze for later use. For reheating, warm in an oven at 350°F for about 5-10 minutes to restore texture.
