  • 2 large eggs Can use flax eggs as an alternative.
  • 0.5 cups milk Almond or soy milk can be used for lactose-free.
  • 1.5 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt

Topping Ingredients

  • Colored frosting (orange, yellow, brown, etc.) Use to decorate cupcakes.
  • Edible decorations (candies, sprinkles, etc.) For creative toppings.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake tin with cupcake liners.

Making the Batter

  • In a mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy (3-5 minutes).
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture, alternating with milk, until just combined.

Baking

  • Fill each cupcake liner about two-thirds full with batter.
  • Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow cupcakes to cool in the pan for about 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Decorating

  • Once cooled, decorate the cupcakes with colored frostings and edible decorations.

Notes

Store cupcakes in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or refrigerate for up to a week. For freezing, wrap unfrosted cupcakes tightly and freeze for up to 3 months.
