  • 6 slices Swiss cheese or provolone cheese, halved
  • 12 pieces slider rolls or mini brioche buns
  • ½ cup whole berry cranberry sauce
  • ½ cup mayonnaise Can be substituted for Greek yogurt for a healthier option.
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds Optional
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley Optional
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients, ensuring the turkey is shredded or sliced into manageable pieces, and cheese is halved.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Slice the slider rolls in half horizontally without completely detaching them and arrange the bottom halves in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  • Mix mayonnaise and Dijon mustard in a small bowl until smooth.
  • Spread the sauce over the cut side of the bottom rolls.
  • Layer cooked turkey evenly over the buns.
  • Spoon the cranberry sauce over the turkey.
  • Layer the halved slices of cheese over the cranberry sauce.
  • Place the top halves of the rolls over the cheese layer.
  • Mix melted butter with garlic powder, onion powder, optional poppy seeds, and parsley in a bowl.
  • Brush the butter mixture generously over the tops of the rolls.
  • Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
  • After 15 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes until cheese is melted and tops are golden brown.
  • Allow sliders to cool slightly, then separate and serve warm.

Notes

For a vegan version, substitute with plant-based turkey, vegan cheese, and dairy-free mayonnaise. Gluten-free options include using gluten-free buns or lettuce wraps.
