  • 1 cheesecake (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 box spice cake mix (plus ingredients per the package)
  • 1 eggs (as required by the cake mix)
  • 1 cup sugar (for cheesecake and additional for the pumpkin pie if needed)
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • whipped cream (for frosting and topping)
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree (for cheesecake, add more if desired)
  • 1-2 teaspoons pumpkin spice (to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation

  • Start by gathering all your ingredients. Make sure your cream cheese is softened for easy mixing. Preheat your oven according to the instructions for the spice cake mix.
  • Prepare your pumpkin pie according to its recipe. Set it aside to cool.
  • In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, sugar, and eggs until smooth.
  • Pour the cheesecake batter into a pan and bake according to your recipe. Cool completely.
  • Prepare the spice cake batter according to the package instructions.

Layering

  • In a large cake pan, pour half of the spice cake batter as the base.
  • Layer the cooled pumpkin pie on top, then cheesecake filling, and finish with the remaining cake batter.

Baking

  • Bake according to the spice cake mix instructions. Allow to cool completely.
  • Frost the top with whipped cream once cool.

Serving

  • Slice and serve chilled for best taste.
