Preparation

  • Start by gathering all your ingredients. Make sure your shredded turkey is ready and that your mashed potatoes are creamy.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded turkey and cranberry sauce. Season this mixture with salt, pepper, and your choice of herbs. Stir gently until everything is well incorporated.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). This will ensure your casserole cooks evenly.
  • Use olive oil to grease your casserole dish.
  • Spoon the turkey and cranberry mixture into the greased casserole dish. Spread it evenly.
  • Spread the mashed potatoes evenly over the turkey mixture.
  • If using cheese, sprinkle it over the mashed potatoes.
  • Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for about 25-30 minutes until heated through and the top is golden brown.
