Ingredients
  

For the sandwich

  • 4 slices Turkey Bacon Cook until crispy
  • 2 slices Cheese (cheddar or Swiss) Use your preferred cheese
  • 2 slices Bread (sourdough or whole grain) Choose any type of bread you like
  • 2 tablespoons Butter, softened For grilling the bread
  • 1 Lettuce, optional Add for freshness
  • 1 Tomato, sliced, optional Use fresh tomatoes for added flavor
  • to taste Mayonnaise or mustard, optional Spread on the bread if desired

Preparation

  • Gather and prepare all ingredients, including washing and slicing tomatoes or lettuce if using.

Cooking

  • Heat skillet over medium heat. Cook turkey bacon until crispy, about 4-6 minutes, flipping occasionally.
  • Remove bacon and let drain on a paper towel.
  • Butter one side of each slice of bread.
  • Assemble sandwich: Lay one slice of bread, buttered side down, add cheese, then cooked turkey bacon, followed by lettuce and tomato, then top with another slice of cheese and the second slice of bread, unbuttered side up.
  • Grill sandwich in the skillet over medium heat for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
  • Flip and grill other side for another 3-4 minutes until cheese is melted.
  • Remove from skillet, let rest for a minute, then slice and serve.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, use a skillet over low heat instead of a microwave to maintain crunchiness.
