Ingredients
  

For the Turkey Preparation

  • 2 pieces Turkey thighs Deboned and cut into small pieces.
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon Chili pepper Adjust based on spice preference.
  • 2 cubes Chicken seasoning cubes
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 handful Chopped onion For making stock.
  • 1 large Carrot Sliced.
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 thumb-sized piece Ginger
  • 3 cups Water For stock.

For the Rice and Vegetables

  • 1 cup Turkey broth
  • 1 cup Water For cooking rice.
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt For cooking rice.
  • 3 cups Rice Rinsed.
  • 1 tablespoon Oil For frying the turkey.
  • 0.5 onion Diced For sautéing.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced.
  • 0.5 red bell pepper Diced
  • 0.5 green bell pepper Diced
  • 1.5 red bell pepper Diced
  • 2 large Tomatoes Diced.
  • 1 habanero Chopped Optional, for heat.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Begin by gathering and preparing all your ingredients.
  • Debone the turkey thighs and cut the meat into small, even pieces.
  • Combine the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, chili pepper, a seasoning cube, and salt in a bowl.
  • Toss the turkey pieces in this mixture until they are evenly coated. Cover and set aside.

Cook the Turkey Stock

  • In a large pot, add the reserved turkey bones, skin, chopped onion, sliced carrot, crushed garlic, ginger, seasoning cube, salt, and water.
  • Bring it to a boil and then let it simmer for about 15 minutes.

Prepare the Rice

  • Rinse the rice thoroughly under cold water until the water runs clear.
  • In a pot, combine the rinsed rice, turkey stock, water, and a pinch of salt. Bring it to a boil.
  • Cook until the rice is fluffy and tender.

Fry the Turkey

  • In a pan, heat oil over medium-high heat and fry the seasoned turkey pieces until cooked through.

Sauté Vegetables

  • Sauté onion and minced garlic in the same pan until fragrant.
  • Add in the prepared pepper mix and season to taste.

Combine All Ingredients

  • Add the fried turkey pieces along with the diced bell peppers to the sautéed vegetables.
  • Mix everything thoroughly.
  • Finally, fold in the cooked rice, stirring gently.

Notes

Store Turkey Combo Rice in airtight containers for 3-4 days. Reheat gently with a splash of water.
