  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon almond extract
  • 3 to 4 tablespoons milk

  • Red and pink icing For decorating cookies.
  • Sprinkles (optional) Use colorful decorations.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients to ensure you have everything on hand.
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Mixing

  • In a small bowl, stir together the flour, baking soda, and baking powder.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened unsalted butter and white sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  • Beat in the egg and then add the vanilla and almond extracts until fully combined.
  • Gradually blend the dry ingredients into your creamed mixture, mixing just until lumps disappear.

Baking

  • Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls and place on ungreased cookie sheets. Flatten slightly.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden.

Cooling and Decorating

  • Allow cookies to cool on wire racks.
