Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your baking pan by greasing and lining it with parchment paper.
  • Gather and pre-measure all your ingredients.

Mixing

  • Melt the butter in a large mixing bowl, either in the microwave or over low heat.
  • Stir in the sugar until the mixture becomes glossy.
  • Beat the eggs one at a time into the butter-sugar mixture, ensuring each is fully integrated before adding the next, then mix in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
  • Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.

Baking

  • Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
  • If using, sprinkle the optional toppings over the batter.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

Cooling and Serving

  • Remove the pan from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack.
  • Once cooled, cut the brownies into squares and package them if desired.

Notes
