Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients and tools. Ensure your butter is properly softened.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Mixing

  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (about 2–3 minutes).
  • Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Gradually stir in the all-purpose flour and salt until just combined, avoiding overmixing.

Shaping

  • Take small portions of dough, roll into balls, or use a cookie cutter to shape.
  • If using sprinkles, roll the balls in them before placing on the baking sheet.

Baking

  • Place cookies on a parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving space between them.
  • Bake for 10–12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
  • Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Decorating
