Ingredients
  

Batter

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips dark or milk

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line a baking pan with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
  • In another bowl, mix granulated sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until creamy.
  • Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  • Stir in chocolate chips evenly, reserving a few to sprinkle on top if desired.
  • Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Tap gently to remove air bubbles.
  • Bake for 20–25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs.
  • Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Decorate with melted chocolate drizzle, edible glitter, or cut into heart shapes for gifting.
  • Package in a decorative box or jar and gift to your loved ones!

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week or freeze for up to 3 months. For a vegan version, use flax eggs and coconut oil. Add nuts, mint extract, or dried fruits for variety.
