Ingredients
  

Cupcake Base

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cups unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 0.5 cups milk can substitute with almond or oat milk
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.25 tsp salt

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather all ingredients and allow the butter to soften at room temperature.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Baking

  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar using an electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy (3-5 minutes).
  • Beat in the eggs, one at a time, ensuring each is well combined before adding the next. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk, starting and finishing with the dry ingredients.
  • Mix until just combined to avoid overworking the batter.
  • Line your muffin tin with cupcake liners and fill each to about two-thirds full with the prepared batter.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let the cupcakes cool in the tin for a few minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely before frosting and decorating.

Notes

Store cupcakes in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days. Cupcakes can be frozen for later enjoyment.
