  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 cups granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cups unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 pieces eggs
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt

For Frosting and Decoration

  • Buttercream frosting
  • Decorative toppings (like sprinkles, fruits, etc.)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Begin by assembling all your ingredients. Measure out the flour, sugar, butter, milk, eggs, baking powder, vanilla extract, and salt.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your cake pans.

Baking the Cakes

  • In a large mixing bowl, beat together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Gradually add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract to enhance the flavor.
  • In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt, and whisk until well mixed.
  • Begin adding the flour mixture and milk to the creamed mixture, alternating between the two, starting and ending with flour.
  • Mix until just combined.
  • Pour the batter evenly into your prepared pans.
  • Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, testing with a toothpick for doneness.
  • Let the cakes cool in the pans for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Frosting and Decoration

  • Once cooled, layer cakes with buttercream frosting and decorate with toppings.
  • Serve the cakes with your favorite beverages and enjoy!
