Instructions
Preparation
- Gather all ingredients and preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour the heart-shaped cake pan.
Mixing
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix well.
- Add the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Beat on medium speed for about 2 minutes until well combined.
- Carefully stir in the boiling water, noting that the batter will be thin.
Baking
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan, distributing it evenly.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes. Check for doneness by inserting a toothpick; it should come out clean.
- Cool the cake in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then remove it from the pan and cool completely on a wire rack.
