  • 0.5 cups unsalted butter Make sure it's softened.
  • 1 cup milk Substitute with almond or coconut milk for dairy-free.
  • 3 pieces eggs For vegan, replace with flax eggs.
  • 2.5 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Decoration

  • Colorful frosting (your choice of colors)
  • Heart-shaped fondant for decoration Optional, can use buttercream instead.

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients and ensure they are at room temperature.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Mixing

  • Cream together the butter and sugar in a bowl until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time and stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In another bowl, combine the flour and baking powder.
  • Gradually add the flour mixture to the creamed mixture alternately with the milk. Mix until just combined.

Baking

  • Grease the cake pan and pour the batter, smoothing the top.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Decoration

  • Once the cake is completely cool, spread the colorful frosting on top and sides.
  • Add heart-shaped fondant decorations for a romantic touch.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3-4 days. Can freeze individual slices wrapped tight.
