Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare two 9-inch round cake pans by greasing them and dusting with flour.
  • Gather all your ingredients, measuring them accurately for best results.

Mixing Ingredients

  • In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk until evenly distributed.
  • Add eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry mixture. Mix until smooth.
  • Stir in the boiling water, mixing until fully combined.

Baking

  • Pour the batter evenly into the prepared cake pans.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Allow the cakes to cool in pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.

Frosting

  • Once cooled, frost the top of one cake layer with buttercream frosting, place the second layer on top, and frost the top and sides.
