Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour Can be substituted with gluten-free flour for a gluten-free version.
  • ½ cup cocoa powder
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • ½ cup butter, softened Can be substituted with coconut oil for a dairy-free option.
  • 2 pieces eggs For vegan option, replace with flax eggs.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Add-ins

  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • Optional toppings: sprinkles, nuts, or candy

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your baking pan.
  • Gather all the ingredients in one place.

Mixing

  • In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy (about 3-5 minutes).
  • Beat in the eggs, one at a time, along with the vanilla extract.
  • In another bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture and mix until just combined.
  • Gently fold in the chocolate chips and any optional toppings.

Baking

  • Pour the chocolate batter into your prepared baking pan and spread it out evenly.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean but moist.

Cooling and Serving

  • Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 10-15 minutes before slicing.
  • Slice into squares or rectangles and enjoy!

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. They can also be frozen for later enjoyment.
