  • 1 ½ cups white sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs Can substitute with flaxseed meal mixed with water for a vegan option.
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Mix-ins

  • 2 cups chocolate chips or heart-shaped sprinkles Use either or both for celebration.

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients and measure them out. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Mix Dry Ingredients

  • In a small bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt.

Cream Butter and Sugars

  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and creamy.

Incorporate Eggs and Vanilla

  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.

Combine Ingredients

  • Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the butter mixture until just combined.

Fold in Mix-ins

  • Gently fold in the chocolate chips or heart-shaped sprinkles with a spatula.

Bake Cookies

  • Drop spoonfuls of the cookie dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space between them.
  • Bake for 9 to 11 minutes until edges are lightly golden.

Cool the Cookies

Notes
