Ingredients
  

Pancake Batter

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter melted

Instructions
 

  • Step 1 – Prepare Ingredients: In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, whisk together milk, egg, and melted butter.
  • Step 2 – Mix Batter: Create a well in the dry ingredients and pour in the wet mixture. Stir gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
  • Step 3 – Preheat Skillet: Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease with butter or cooking spray.
  • Step 4 – Pour Batter: Pour small portions of batter onto the skillet, forming circles or heart shapes using a cookie cutter.
  • Step 5 – Cook Pancakes: Cook for 2–3 minutes, or until bubbles form on the surface. Flip and cook another 2–3 minutes until golden brown.
  • Step 6 – Serve: Stack the pancakes and top with sliced strawberries and chocolate chips. Serve warm with syrup or whipped cream.

Notes

For a festive twist, add red food coloring or cocoa powder for red velvet pancakes. Use dairy-free milk and a flaxseed egg for a vegan version. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
