  • 3 cups rice cereal
  • 4 cups mini marshmallows Vegan marshmallows can be used for a dairy-free version.
  • 3 tablespoons butter Coconut oil can be used as a substitute for dairy-free.
  • Heart-shaped sprinkles for decoration Feel free to swap for other fun toppings.

Preparation

  • Start by measuring out all your ingredients: rice cereal, mini marshmallows, butter, and sprinkles.

Cooking

  • In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
  • Once melted, add the mini marshmallows and stir continuously until smooth (about 3-5 minutes).
  • Remove from heat and quickly fold in the rice cereal until coated.

Assembly

  • Grease a baking pan with butter or non-stick spray.
  • Press the mixture evenly into the prepared pan.
  • Let it cool for about 30 minutes before cutting into squares.
  • Cut into shapes and sprinkle heart-shaped decorations on top.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to one week. To reheat, allow to sit at room temperature if refrigerated. Freezing is possible; wrap individually and store in a freezer-safe bag.
