Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • oil for frying
  • powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt together.
  • In another bowl, whisk eggs, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Combine wet and dry ingredients, stirring gently until just mixed (do not overmix).
  • Heat oil in a deep fryer or pot to 350°F (175°C).
  • Drop spoonfuls of batter into hot oil and fry 3–4 minutes until golden, flipping halfway.
  • Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
  • Dust warm beignets generously with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with coffee, hot chocolate, or dipping sauces like chocolate or raspberry. For variations, try adding cinnamon or seasonal flavors to the batter.
