Preparation

  • Start by gathering all your ingredients together. Ensure your butter is softened and at room temperature.
  • Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F). This ensures even baking.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, ground almonds, and a pinch of salt. Whisk to distribute evenly.
  • In another bowl, cream together softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy (about 3-5 minutes).
  • Mix in the vanilla extract into the butter-sugar mixture.
  • Gradually combine the dry mixture into the wet mixture until a cohesive dough forms.
  • Roll small portions of dough into crescent shapes (about 2 inches long) and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes until lightly golden around the edges.
  • Allow cookies to cool on a wire rack, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Freezing is also an option.
