Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients. Make sure the black beans are rinsed and drained well. Premeasure everything.

Cooking

  • In a food processor, blend the rinsed black beans until smooth.
  • Add the maple syrup, cocoa powder, peanut butter, vanilla extract, baking powder, and salt to the food processor, and blend until well combined.
  • Stir in the dairy-free chocolate chips.
  • Grease an 8x8 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  • Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes.
  • Cool in the pan for 15-20 minutes before slicing into squares.

Notes

Store brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days or in the fridge for a week. Freeze for up to three months.
