Ingredients
  

Gummy Bear Base

  • 1 cup fruit juice (your favorite like apple, grape, or mixed berries) Choose high-quality fruit juice for the best flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons agar-agar powder This is crucial for the gummy texture.
  • ¼ cup maple syrup Adds natural sweetness and a caramel-like flavor.
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract Adds a lovely undertone.
  • ¼ cup corn starch Helps absorb moisture and provides a smooth finish.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients and measure out the fruit juice and agar-agar powder in separate bowls.

Cooking

  • In a medium saucepan, combine the fruit juice and agar-agar powder. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly until boiling.
  • Once boiling, reduce the heat slightly and add the maple syrup and vanilla extract, stirring well.
  • Remove the saucepan from heat and gradually stir in the corn starch while the mixture is still warm, whisking until no lumps remain.

Molding

  • Pour the mixture into your gummy bear molds, filling each cavity to the top.

Setting

  • Let the filled molds cool at room temperature for about 10 minutes.
  • Once cooled, place the molds in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.

Enjoying

  • After 2 hours, carefully remove the gummy bears from the molds and enjoy!

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze for up to three months.
