Ingredients
  

Liquid Base

  • 500 ml plant-based milk oat, almond, or soy works well

Chocolate & Cocoa

  • 100 g vegan dark chocolate 70–85% cocoa recommended
  • 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder

Sweetener & Flavor

  • 2 tbsp maple syrup (or other sweetener)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • pinch salt just a little to heighten the chocolate flavor

Instructions
 

  • In a small saucepan, heat the plant milk over medium heat until it’s warm but not boiling.
  • Whisk in the cocoa powder and maple syrup until fully dissolved.
  • Add the dark chocolate and continue to whisk until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
  • Remove from heat, stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.
  • Pour into mugs and serve immediately. Optionally top with vegan whipped cream or marshmallows.

Notes

You can make this extra indulgent by using a thicker plant milk (like coconut cream) or adding a spoon of nut butter when heating.
