maple syrup (or other sweetener)

just a little to heighten the chocolate flavor
Instructions
In a small saucepan, heat the plant milk over medium heat until it’s warm but not boiling.
Whisk in the cocoa powder and maple syrup until fully dissolved.
Add the dark chocolate and continue to whisk until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
Remove from heat, stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.
Pour into mugs and serve immediately. Optionally top with vegan whipped cream or marshmallows.
Notes
You can make this extra indulgent by using a thicker plant milk (like coconut cream) or adding a spoon of nut butter when heating.
