Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups dates (pitted) Make sure dates are pitted before blending.
  • 2 tbsp almond flour
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 scoop protein powder (any flavor) Use your preferred protein flavor.
  • 2 tbsp honey Can be substituted with maple syrup for vegan option.
  • 2 tbsp nut butter of choice (any nut/seed butter) Sunflower seed butter can be used if allergic to nuts.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch sea salt

Chocolate Coating

  • ¾ cup chocolate chips
  • 1 heaping tsp coconut oil
  • flakey to taste sea salt (for topping)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Gather all the ingredients and ensure dates are pitted.
  • Add all of the brownie ball ingredients into a food processor or blender. Blend until fully combined, achieving a crumbly, sand-like texture.
  • Adjust the consistency by adding more protein powder or almond flour if too sticky, or more nut butter or honey if too dry.
  • Remove the mixture from the food processor and roll it into balls. Aim for 8-10 large brownie balls or 20 smaller ones.
  • Place the rolled brownie balls on a parchment paper-lined tray and set them in the freezer.

Chocolate Coating

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and coconut oil. Heat in the microwave for 30 seconds, stir, and repeat until fully melted and smooth.
  • Dip each brownie ball into the melted chocolate, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  • Sprinkle flakey sea salt on top of each chocolate-coated ball.

Final Steps

  • Place the chocolate-coated brownie balls back onto the lined tray and return to the freezer until the chocolate hardens, approximately 15-20 minutes.
  • Once set, enjoy your Viral Healthy Brownie Balls or store them for later.

Notes

Store brownie balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week, or freeze for longer storage. For an enhanced flavor, consider adding spices like cinnamon or espresso powder.
