Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients. Ensure that your butter is soft enough to cream but not melted.
  • Pre-measure the dried cranberries and white chocolate chips so you can add them quickly later.

Mixing

  • In a large bowl, beat together the softened butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until creamy and well combined.
  • Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until everything is thoroughly incorporated.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, and baking soda.
  • Gradually add the dry mixture into the wet mixture and mix on low speed until just combined.
  • Gently fold in the white chocolate chips and dried cranberries.

Chilling and Baking

  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least one hour.
