Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients: milk, heavy cream, white chocolate chips, and vanilla extract.
  • In a medium saucepan, combine the milk and heavy cream. Heat over medium heat until warmed but not boiling.
  • Once the mixture is warm, add the white chocolate chips into the saucepan. Stir until the chocolate fully melts and the mixture is smooth.
  • Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract until evenly distributed.
  • Check the consistency and add more milk if the mixture seems too thick.
  • Pour the White Hot Chocolate into your favorite mugs.
  • Top off with whipped cream and sprinkle with crushed candy canes for garnish.

Notes

You can customize this recipe with different toppings and flavors. For a vegan option, use almond or oat milk and dairy-free white chocolate. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
