Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients. Make sure the bananas are very ripe for maximum sweetness and moistness.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking.

Mixing

  • In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until they are smooth.
  • Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas, ensuring it’s warm enough to blend smoothly.
  • Add in the baking soda and pinch of salt, and mix everything well.
  • Stir in the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until well incorporated.
  • Gently mix in the flour until just combined and fold in the chocolate chips.

Baking

  • Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan and smooth the top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or refrigerate for up to a week. For freezing, wrap slices individually and place in a freezer bag for up to 3 months.
