Optional Ingredients

Instructions

Preparation

  • Gather everything you need for your brewing adventure, measure out all grains and hops, and ensure your workspace is clean and organized.
  • Start by heating up the water in a large pot until it reaches approximately 150–160°F.
  • Add your malted barley, stirring gently to prevent clumping.

Brewing

  • Bring your mixture to a gentle boil and maintain it for about an hour.
  • Around halfway through the boil (at 30 minutes), add your hops.
  • Once the hour is up, cool your beer swiftly to avoid infection.
  • Transfer the cooled mixture to a sanitized fermentation vessel.
  • Add the yeast and give it a gentle swirl to mix.
  • Seal the fermentation vessel with an airlock and place it in a dark, slightly warm area for 1-2 weeks.

Bottling

  • Once fermentation is complete, carefully siphon your beer into sanitized bottles.
  • Add the priming sugar before filling to enable carbonation. Seal the bottles and let them carbonate for another week.

Serving

  • Chill your beer in the fridge and serve with love, ideally paired with a romantic dinner.

Notes

Consider adding spices or fruits during fermentation for richer flavors. Ensure cleanliness in your brewing process to avoid contamination.
