Instructions

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients on a clean countertop. Preheat your oven according to cake mix instructions.
  • Prepare the cake mix by combining the cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water in a mixing bowl.
  • Pour the batter into a greased cake pan and bake according to package instructions until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Allow the cake to cool completely before crumbling it into a bowl.
  • Crumble the cooled cake into fine pieces, ensuring there are no large chunks.
  • Mix in your preferred frosting with the crumbled cake until well combined.
  • Take a small amount of the mixture and roll it into 1-2 inch balls. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Freeze the cake balls for at least 30 minutes.

Dipping and Decoratiing

  • Melt the candy melts according to package instructions.
  • Dip the end of each lollipop stick into melted candy and then insert it into the center of each cake ball.

  • Once the coating is set, decorate your snowmen using mini chocolate chips for eyes, candy corn for noses, and sprinkles.

Notes

Store in an airtight container. Undecorated cake pops can be refrigerated for up to a week, while decorated ones are best consumed within a few days. Optionally freeze undecorated cake pops.
