Preparation
- Gather all your ingredients and tools, including a heatproof glass bowl, a pot for the double boiler method, parchment paper, and two forks for dipping.
Melting the Chocolate
- Set up a double boiler by bringing water to a simmer in a pot and placing the glass bowl on top. Add the white chocolate candy melts to the bowl.
- Stir the melts constantly until about 70% melted, ensuring a smooth consistency.
- Remove from heat once melted and keep stirring until completely smooth and glossy.
Coloring and Dipping
- If desired, divide the melted chocolate and add food coloring to create different shades, stirring until well mixed.
- Ensure a silky texture by drizzling a little coconut or olive oil into the melted chocolate.
- Carefully dip each Oreo into the chocolate using two forks, allowing excess chocolate to drip off before placing them on a cooling rack or parchment paper.
Decorating
- Before the chocolate sets, add sprinkles on top, allowing for creative combinations.
Setting
- Refrigerate the Oreos for about 30 minutes or until the chocolate is firm.
- For extra decoration, drizzle more chocolate over the top and return to the refrigerator to set.
